Side Quests

Outside of design, I enjoy exploring other avenues of creative work from sewing, traveling, painting, and illustration

  • Bestie Bricks

As a child, my daughter was very much into Lego and her room was filled with assembled kits. As she got older, the passion faded and the kits needed to be rehomed. Bestie Bricks was created to sell kits and minifigures.

  • Celiacs Abroad

My daughter and I both live with Celiac Disease, a genetic autoimmune reaction to eating gluten (wheat, barley, and rye). It causes serious damage to the small intestine and the only cure is a strict 100% gluten free diet. As it turns out, a 100% gluten free diet (the Celiac way) is not as easy as it seems. Cross contamination, sneaky crumbs, and food processing is our enemy–making it crazy difficult to eat out.

So when we find safe places, we get super excited to share with our friends and the celiac community, which is where Celiacs Abroad comes in.

  • My Mask Story

The pandemic was a strange and scary time for all of us as we navigate this new normal. Rather than approaching the future with fear and judgment, we want to face it with compassion and understanding. My Mask Story is a place to tell individual stories on why people choose to wear masks and to stop the stigma of mask wearing in the United States. Spread compassion, not COVID-19.

  • Biznecks

Since the pandemic, I wanted to hide the fact that I enjoy wearing cozy clothes most of the time. One day I was looking to donate some old shirts and thought… “do I really need the bottom of that shirt?” A few snips and some surging later got me excited to make more. Biznecks are upcycled, one-of-a-kind fake collars that give you the professional look for your remote work.
